The worldwide music community was shocked by
the news that one of the legendary figures of the modern Afro-American history / culture known as a poet, a spoken-word artist, a musician, an activist, etc. and also regarded as the influential to rappers, GIL SCOTT-HERON, passed away on 27th May at the age of 62.
The mix, which I found at the mixcloud, is by Black Classical and dedicated to GIL SCOTT HERON, by not just mixing his tracks but selecting and mixing the tracks of the movement in which his music has played a huge role in difining. I know nothing about Black Classical, though, the mix, featuring the tracks by the artists like GIL SCOTT-HERON himself, GEORGE RUSSELL, EARTH WIND AND FIRE, HEATH BROTHERS, BUILD AN ARK, etc., is so deep, so spiritual and so inspirational, just as of his music.
